My name is Dr. Andres Godinez, and I have been a practicing audiologist (Hearing Specialist) for over 18 years. I became an Audiology Aide for the Los Angeles and Ventura Unified School District in the late 90’s. While attending the University of Redlands, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Audiology Clinic where I learned my true calling in life, helping people hear. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Audiology from the University of Redlands, Master’s degree in Audiology from California State University Northridge, and a Doctoral degree in Audiology from A.T. Still University. I began my professional career at Adventist Health White Memorial Medical Center in Boyle Heights, CA, and a local hearing aid dispensary. During that time I also started my first practice, evaluating patients in nursing homes. Fast forward to current day, where I can proudly say that my current practice, Sherman Oaks Ear and Hearing Institute, has helped thousands of patients in Southern California. Being a Pediatric and Adult Audiologist never gets old. I enjoy helping every patient, whether it’s a newborn (with more hair than me), a teenager full of dreams or the philosophical grandparent, each patient is unique and special in their own way. I take great pleasure in being able to help my patients with any problem they may be experiencing, from cleaning a hearing aid to removing earwax. My Audiology team and I attend constant training to provide a higher level of Audiological care and service to you, our valued patient. When I am not practicing, I enjoy working out at the local gym, working on cars, cooking, handyman work around the house and visiting loved ones that have passed away. My hobbies include dancing, spending time with my family and working on my inventions (hearing protection).
